Just taken a look at your stuff; very ambitious subjects! For starters I'd say there's nothing wrong with your sense of composition, it's pretty solid - unlike some of your shapes. I can see you have an understanding of light but you seem to struggle with solid matter, like walls. It all has to do with the way you paint. The manner of the brush strokes, direction and strength really emphasize the surface. Try working with the selection tool for very crisp edges and make sure you dont use full black and full white. Balancing the painting out with levels, color balance and the hue/saturation tool can help keeping the colors within range.
